    Margot–I’m Carey Marden’s Mom–

It’s so wonderful to see your work. What an artist!!!

Congratulations on the birth of your son. Sounds like a wonderful joy in your life.

Bill and I are retired, and I have become a quilter. I am just an ordinary quilter, but it gives me such great satisfaction. Much of my joy comes not only from the process, but the community of creative and VERY talented quilting friends.

Carey gave me your book for Christmas several years ago.

My wishes to you, your family, and your wonderful creativity.

  2. Your creations are a gift for those who experience them. The colors, forms and amazing details capture mood so effectively. They speak grace and beauty. Thank you for expressing your talent and manifesting such works. Parenting will expand your vision and you’ll discover seeing in a new way. Glad you are finding connections here, as your roots deepen may magic nourish your muse. I’m thankful to cross your path, your color filled whimsical path! Looking forward to exploring color togethter!

  3. Awesome web-site yours faithfully Bernadine Arrendondo

  22. Roxane Lessa says:

Hi, Margot. YOur mom saw an article about me in the News and Observer and sent me your link. Your work is very beautiful. And I love the car! Like you, I grew up in Boston, went to the Museum a lot, but my mom got the MFA from the museum school and went on to do glass art. I was studying to be a ballet dancer. Anyway, I came to art quilting in a roundabout way, but now that I’m here, I’m lovin’ it. Keep doing what you’re doing–it’s very good. Have you found any good galleries to represent you out West?

    Sincerely,
    Roxane Lessa

    Dear Margot,
I found your website by accident and I’m so happy that I did. Many years ago, when you and your dad were moving, you gave Sam my youngest son an old Garfield the Cat sketchbook of yours. He colored in & out of your lovely sketches, carrying it with him to first grade. How I wish I had saved those drawings. Both yours & his.
Seeing your gallery today I am awestruck by your work. It is truly beautiful and brilliant.
    Kristel

There’s a picture of Bill in the spa employee lounge. So what do I need to go to some exhibit for when I can just go to the Burke Williams breakroom for my art?

I know somebody who works at LACMA and told her about your upcoming show. She checked out the web site and thinks you’re very talented. She said she’d come to the exhibit.

Maybe you’ll get your own wing at LACMA!
