Happy Spring! I must say, I am having a great year so far, and I hope the same is true for you. 2013 started off with that exhibit at Maude Kerns, and a packed opening reception, a glowing review, and a well-attended artists’ talk. Shortly after that, I received an invitation to be part of a 3-year traveling exhibit of art quilts, that will be touring around the country, starting next fall. Then Lark Books released “Art Quilt Portfolio: People and Portraits” by Martha Sielman, a beautiful book of some truly stunning art quilts, which includes an artist profile about my work. I can’t begin to express what an honor it is to be a part of this book, and to have my work in there alongside many of my heroes. So far, this year is shaping up to be terrific!

Please have a look around my website, as you will find that I have changed a few things. I have added a link to this newest book to the In the Media page, as well as a section for radio, since I was both interviewed on and reviewed on public radio earlier this year. I’ve added my most recent piece “Miranda on Blue” to my website gallery, upgraded to better photographs for a couple pieces, and added some more information to the section about Demeter. I have also changed the prices of many of my older pieces, some of them substantially, to reflect the harsh realities of the current art market and hopefully spur some sales, as I have basically maxed out all of our storage space and wall space with my art.
